Here is more about Eric:

I started in model railroading at 9 years old with a Christmas train set. It was Tyco 0-4-0 Santa Fe steamer. I still have it and the cars.   I have built 5 layouts learning more and more each time. I model HO and some O.

Railroads have been a strong interest of mine since I worked as a machinist and made many pieces for Woodward Governor and their motor controllers used on Alco and EMD locomotives.

I was an Industrial Arts teacher in Junior high and High school for 33 years. Teaching woods, metals, drafting, leather, CNC machining, electricity and electronics, automotive maintenance and auto body repair.   I have a collection of European motorcycles from the 60’s and 70’s, that I have won awards with the AACA.

I have been with the Sherman Hill Model Railroad Club for 15 years along with the NMRA.

I have 1500 hours of running and maintenance at the Colorado Model Railroad museum.

I am a member of the Union Pacific Historical Society for 10 years.

I have been in charge of the Sherman Hill club’s two layouts for 11 years.

I am now President of the club.
